Liz won her fifth Irish Book Award in November 2023 when Strange Sally Diamond won ‘Irish Independent’ Crime Novel of the Year at the ‘An Post’ Irish Book Awards in the National Convention Centre, Dublin. She was also nominated for Author of the Year and Radio Listeners’ Choice Award.

I was very grateful to receive this award from Irish Writers Centre founder Jack Harte at an evening to celebrate his contribution to Irish literary life. The award is a two week residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig.
