Since winning the 2014 Crime Novel of the Year at the Irish Book Awards with her debut Unravelling Oliver, Liz has gone from strength to strength

 IRISH BOOK AWARDS

Liz won her fifth Irish Book Award in November 2023 when Strange Sally Diamond won โ€˜Irish Independentโ€™ Crime Novel of the Year at the โ€˜An Postโ€™ Irish Book Awards in the National Convention Centre, Dublin. She was also nominated for Author of the Year and Radio Listenersโ€™ Choice Award.

    I was very grateful to receive this award from Irish Writers Centre founder Jack Harte at an evening to celebrate his contribution to Irish literary life. The award is a two week residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig.
